Paul on the Island of Malta

When Paul was safe on the Island he learned that the island was called Malta, the natives were very friendly to him and made a fire to warm them. When Peter gathered some sticks to put on the fire a poisonous snake, drawn out by the heat came out and bit his hand, Peter shook it off into the fire while everyone waited for him to swell up or die, he didn’t, so the natives decided he was a God because he also went around healing people.

The Return of Bilbo

When Bilbo came back, there was a great disturbance in Hobbiton, because everyone thought he was dead. And when he got to his house, he saw that there was a crowd of people outside, at first he thought they were there to welcome him back. But then he saw that they were auctioning off his furniture and stuff from his house, because they thought he was dead. The Coming of the Holy Spirit

One day after Jesus had gone back to heaven, the believers gathered in a house together to do stuff. Then, a mighty wind whooshed around everywhere and what appeared to be tongues of fire appeared on the heads of all of the believers. Then they all started to talk in all different languages, some other people were puzzled because they all came from Gallilee (Gallilee?). But some people thought they were drunk(How would they be able to talk in all different languages even if they were drunk?) But Peter said  that it was because God gave them the ability to talk in different languages so that they could spread the Word of God.

Cain Murders Abel

Eve became pregnant and she gave birth to Cain and Abel. When Cain grew up he had a farm and when Abel grew up, he was a herdsman. So when harvest time came, Abel brought some of his choicest lambs as an offering to God, whereas, Cain brought some of his farm produce. God was very pleased with Abel’s offering but not so pleased with Cain’s, then Cain got very very very angry and jealous of Abel. Then he suggested that he and Abel go out into the field, when they got out there, he killed Abel. God punished him by banishing him from there, he also put a mark on him too show that no man could kill him.

The Man called Chilo

Once there was a man called Chilo who had a very athletic son who was very good at sport and the Olympics and stuff. So one day he had won lots of prizes, and when he showed them to his dad his dad was so overjoyed he died.(!!!!!!!!!)

Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind

Jesus and his disciples were walking along a road when they saw a man blind from birth, Jesus’ disciples asked Jesus why the man was born blind. Jesus said because it was Gods plan, then he spat on the ground and made some mud, and then he rubbed it into the mans eyes and told him to go wash it off. Then, when the man came back, he could see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fine Art

There’s a man called Willard Wigan who make tiny tiny tiny sculptures small enough to fit in the eye of a needle, or be inhaled. He uses tiny home made tools and a microscope to make the teeny little things.  And , believe it or not, he uses a flies HAIR to paint them .  The photo is of him and some of his sculptures. And once he sold an Elephant carved out of a  piece of sand!

Socrates’ Favourite Student

When Socrates wasn’t working, he usually taught his students, he had few favorite sjoodints but his main favorite was a strong, handsome young man called Alcidades. Alcidades was a rich young orphan who had many “friends” who flattered him all the time. But Alcidades never acted posh and boastful around Socrates though, he always wanted to learn more stuff so he wanted to please his teacher.

Socrates

There was one a man named Socrates who was a simple man who worked in the fields all day to came home to a simple meal in his simple house, then he would go to bed in his simp…. yeah alright thats overdoing it a bit. He was a simple man with a simple household, in his spare time he would always study and read books and stuff. He always thought that you should always be gentle and kind to every one, even if they’re mean to you. He got a chance to practice this every day because his wife was a cross, grumpy woman, and his being meek and patient made her even more grumpy. In fact one day she was so cross with him, that she grabbed a jug of water and tipped it on him!! But then he just brushed the water off and said “After thunder comes the rain.”

The Sword of Damocles

There was once a king named Dionysius who had everything he wanted and he was really rich and all that, but, he was always in constant fear that someone would murder him because he was very mean and had made many enemies. Another man, Damocles, visited him every day to flatter him and stuff, was very poor and didn’t have much to brag about so he basically wanted to be the kings friend. Anyway, one day Damocles visited the king and said “Oh if only I could be a king for just one day(hint hint.)” Then Dionysius said that he could swap places if he wanted, so Damocles got to eat the finest food and get the best entertainment for the day, but in the middle of the day, in the middle of a laugh he suddenly looked up and saw that an unsheathed sword was dangling above him by a single horse-hair. Then he jumped off the couch and refused to get back on even while Dionysius urged him, then the tyrant told him that a person always in fear can never be happy-an explanation which Damocles immediately understood.

The Death of Stephen

Stephen’s enemies always did lots of stuff to get him into trouble, such as accusing of crimes he didn’t do. Once he told them that they had done bad stuff and should repent and they got really angry with him, then Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit said “Look, I see the heavens opened and Jesus sitting at the right hand of God” Then they went totally ballistic!! They covered their ears with their hands and drowned out his voice with their screaming and yelling, and then, they started to stone him. As he was being killed, Stephen asked God to recieve his spirit and not punish the people for the sin because they didn’t know what they were doing. Then……. he died.

Bustards

Bustards are a large bird that lives in Australia and is becoming extinct. One reason why they are becoming extinct, is that a lot of there natural habitat is getting cut down or poisoned by pesticides or eaten by foxes or cats. But a breeding program is being set up to make more of these cute little…. or should I say big fellas. When they are only a few months old they can weigh about to two or three kilograms and the grown-up males can grow up to be a meter or more tall and weigh more ten kilograms.

Jesus Appears to Seven Disciples

After Jesus died he appeared to seven disciples, this is how it happened. Simon Peter said that he was goin’ fishin’ and some of the others came too, they fished allllll night and still didn’t catch anything. In the morning they saw Jesus standing on the shore, but of course, they didn’t know it was him. He called out to them to put the net on the other side of the boat and then they’d get plenty of fish, they obeyed and got lots and lots of them in the net. Then Simon Peter knew it was Jesus so he jumped out of the boat and swam ashore to him, when the other disciples brought the fish ashore they saw that a fire was going, and they all had fish and bread for breakfast.

Ananias and Sapphira

Ananias and his wife Sapphira sold a piece of property and gave part of the money to the disciples and and said that was the whole amount, his wife had also agreed to this deception. Then Peter said “Why did you lie? You chose to sell the property and give the money away, but when you gave it away  you kept back part of it and lied! You didn’t lie to us, you lied to God.”  Then when Ananias heard this he fell down and died and two men men came and took him away to bury him. A bit later his wife came there not knowing what had happened and Peter asked her if the money the gave him, was the full amount, she said yes and then peter gave her another talking to and then she died and the men came and took her away and buried her next to her husband.
