Alban, The First Martyr

Once there was a man called Alban who was very rich and very kind, but he was a heathen. One night, a man came running to Alban’s house saying “HIDE ME! HIDE ME!!”. Alban gave him a place to hide in his house. The man he hid was a christian and he was being persecuted. The more Alban listened to the man telling what it was like to be a christian, the more he thought he wanted to be a christian as well. He thought that being a christian sounded much better than being heathen. Alban decided to become a christian. One night the soldiers came and captured Alban and the other man. They took them to the Governor, the governor decided to have the man put to death for being a christian. And have Alban out to death for helping the fugitive hide. So he did and they did and it did.

THE END

The Hole

Once some English soldiers got captured by Indians. The Indians chucked them into a tiny prison called       THE HOLE. The hole was a very stinky, tiny, cramped dungeon with only one tiny window. 132 soldiers were imprisoned in there and most of them died of madness or suffocation or stinkyness. The Indians had no mercy at all if they heard their prisoners pleading, they just laughed and taunted them. In the end, only 31 of the 132 soldiers came out alive and only 14 came out sane

Albion

Once there was a boy who loved the sea. He had liked swimming and playing in it ever since he was very small. In fact he loved it so much that when he grew up he came to be KING OF THE SEA. He ruled the sea and all the fishes and all the mermaid and mermen. He and his wife had lots of children and, as they grew up, the king made them each king of their own islands. There youngest son’s name was Albion and he was their favourite son so this made it extra hard for them to choose which island he was to have. They only wanted him to have the best island ever. So they sent out lots of mermen and mermaids to find the perfect island. At last they found the perfect one, it was extremely beautiful and it had lots of rivers and trees and it had lovely cool water. So it was given to Albion to rule over, And Albion called the island Albion

The Hairdresser

There was once a man called Mr. Arkright who wanted to be a barber. So he rented a cellar and put a red and white pole and a sign out the front of it. The barber shops in town usually shaved people for twopence so Arkright had the idea of shaving people for halfpence. The idea worked and Arkright had more customers than anyone in the town. It was the fashion in those days for men to shave their heads and wear wigs tied back in a ponytail. So Arkright started making wigs. He also found out how to dye hair, so he made wigs that were dyed and sold them. This paid a lot better than just shaving people and he grew very rich.
